our Founder
Meet Dylan Meyer, the visionary behind Legacy of Legends.
Dylan Meyer is the founder and CEO of Legacy of Legends. His passion for sports and commitment to giving every child an opportunity, regardless of race, income, or talent level, led him to launch Legacy of Legends in 2024. Dylan wants to ensure every child has the chance to be mentored by top-tier coaches who share his core values.
Early Life and Inspiration
Growing up in South Florida, Meyer developed a passion for basketball and played in AAU and USSSA. He saw firsthand the expenses associated with travel basketball and witnessed coaches with no experience who berated young players, leaving 9 and 10-year-old children in tears, scared to make mistakes. Some talented kids ended up quitting.
At the age of 13, Meyer started a Dwyane Wade Instagram page that blossomed into a business relationship, then a friendship with Wade, a few years later. However, it was the tutelage by Wade, where Meyer learned that having the right coach at an early age, can and will, make or break an athlete.
Dylan Meyer earned a Bachelor’s Degree in media production, management and technology from the University of Florida. Meyer spent the next two years building Legacy of Legends. Meyer’s passion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his values has made him a respected figure in his community. His journey as the CEO of Legacy of Legends is a testament to the power of one person’s vision to create a platform that makes an overwhelming decision of choosing the right sports program as easy as a few clicks.Â
Meyer wants every loving parent or guardian to find solace in the fact that any program listed on Legacy of Legends has gone through a rigorous examination of safety, coaching philosophy, and each and every coach has passed a thorough background check.
As Legacy of Legends started to flourish, Meyer learned that being successful in athletics but struggling academically can have a devastating effect on a youth athlete. After many parents explained to Meyer their struggles finding the right academic program tailored to fit their child’s needs, Meyer extended the platform so parents can sleep knowing Legacy of Legends can alleviate two vital decisions for parents: where to send their child to grow as an athlete and a student by showcasing great academies for parents, in addition to sports camps and programs.
